A few days ago, Dingbo's strategic partner, Yuchai’s "Ultra-low emission diesel engine airway and key technology development and industrialization of molds" project won the first prize of Guangxi Science and Technology Progress Award.

The former diesel engine airway technology has been monopolized by developed countries such as Europe and the United States. Yuchai’s ultra-low-emission diesel engine airway and mold key technologies have overcome the weaknesses of foreign airways that are incompatible with water and soil, and have created excellent airway technology with ultra-low emissions, ultra-low fuel economy, and ultra-powerful in line with national conditions, reaching the world's advanced level. As the only domestic company, Yuchai has broken the foreign monopoly on the core technology of airway.

Not only that, Yuchai has also widely applied this unique technology to the production and manufacturing of engines from the third to the sixth country. The consistency level of cylinder head air passages effectively guarantees the requirements of batch engine power, fuel consumption and emissions, and makes product quality more stable.

As a result, Yuchai has become the only company that effectively combines the theory of airway technology with practical application and promotion, forming independent development of engine airway technology, airway mold design, casting process, mold manufacturing, airway cylinder head mass production and follow-up detection integration, full closed-loop one-stop technology research and the entire process of practical application.

Overcome difficulties to build a hard core engine breathing throat.

Usually after a diesel engine is designed, there will be a corresponding airway parameter, that is, the value of intake air flow and swirl ratio. Cylinder head airway is like the human throat, it is the breathing "organ" of the engine. Air enters the combustion chamber through the cylinder head airway, and the air and mist diesel are fully mixed with precise airway parameters to achieve the best combustion and emission effect. The extremely complex airway structure and fine airway parameter requirements make the airway technology one of the four core technologies of diesel engines and the most important basic engine technology.

Yuchai’s airway technology team headed by the chief skill master Chen Jinyuan has been working on airway technology since 1995. It has experienced from two-valve to four-valve airway, from National III to National VI, from hand-made to digital manufacturing. The development process from traditional processing to 3D printing, with the spirit of concentrating on doing one thing well, in the past 25 years, a consistent airway system technology from design, measurement, and manufacturing has been formed. The overcoming of key mold technologies and industrialization effects have become increasingly significant.

Three "firsts" to create the strongest voice of craftsmanship.

This time, Yuchai’s award-winning ultra-low emission diesel engine air passage and key mold technology are the first independent development of the key core technology of the air passage in China. This is the fourth time Yuchai has won the award after winning the first prize of Guangxi Science and Technology Progress in 2007, 2013, and 2016. Compared with the previous awards for model product research and development projects, the award of this honor has a more exemplary effect on basic research and manufacturing process technology innovation, and demonstrates the great significance of Yuchai's basic technology and process manufacturing technology research in the development of Guangxi's machinery industry.
