Excessive water temperature is one of the most common failures of diesel water-cooled type. Due to the different thermal expansion coefficients of the cylinder sleeve and piston friction pair material, the high temperature will make the gap smaller, the lubrication condition will deteriorate, and the cylinder and piston ring will be stuck for a long time.
The water temperature of the diesel generator set is preferably around 80°, and the maximum temperature cannot exceed 95°! Remember not to let the temperature be too high or too low, it will cause damage to the generator set.
During the operation of the generator, there is energy consumption. These energies become heat energy. If no cooling measures are taken, the temperature of the rotor, stator and other components will rise, which will lead to aging of the insulation winding, the output will drop, and even burn the motor. .
The piston generator top clearance is too large. If the diesel engine is overhauled, the diesel engine piston top clearance is not checked and adjusted in strict accordance with the requirements, or the excessively thick diesel generator cylinder head gasket is selected to make the piston top clearance larger, which will increase the space of the diesel engine combustion chamber. This directly affects the compression ratio of the diesel generator and thus the cylinder pressure.
