The water cooling system of the diesel generator set is a forced circulation water cooling system, that is, the water pump is used to increase the pressure of the coolant, and the forced coolant circulates in the engine. This system includes water pump, radiator, cooling fan, thermostat, water jacket in engine block and cylinder head and other additional devices.
The forced circulation water cooling system uses a water pump to pressurize the cooling liquid of the system and make it flow in the water jacket. The cooling water absorbs heat from the cylinder wall, and the temperature rises. The hot water flows upward into the cylinder head, and then flows out of the cylinder head and into the radiator. Due to the stronger blowing effect of the fan, the air flows through the radiator at a high speed from front to back, constantly taking away the heat of the water flowing through the radiator. The cooled water is re-pumped into the water jacket from the bottom of the radiator by the water pump. Water circulates continuously in the cooling system.

The radiator core is the core part of the radiator and plays a major role in heat dissipation. When the temperature of the small circulation coolant is low, the diesel engine (land diesel generator set driven type) needs a warm-up process. At this time, the thermostat is closed. The coolant circulation route: water pump-body, cylinder head water jacket - cylinder head water jacket outlet pipe - thermostat - water pump. The coolant temperature rises rapidly without passing through the radiator.
When the coolant temperature of the diesel generator set is high (above 80 ℃), the thermostat will open, and the coolant circulation route: water pump-body, cylinder head water jacket - cylinder head water jacket outlet pipe - thermostat - radiator - water pump. As it passes through the radiator, the coolant will dissipate the heat absorbed from the engine parts into the atmosphere, and control the temperature of the diesel engine (driven by land diesel generator set) after comparison.
