1. The quality of the purchased or self-made paper pads is not satisfactory, such as insufficient thickness, improper storage, wrinkled deformation, or careless cleaning during assembly, and dust and impurities, which are the reasons for oil leakage.


2. The oil pressure is too high, which also causes oil leakage on the static joint surface.


3. The quality of the static joint itself is mainly determined by the precision of the processing equipment itself and the storage and transportation conditions. If the precision of the equipment is high, the flatness and roughness of the static joint surface can meet the design requirements of the drawing, and attention should be paid to preventing bumps during storage and transportation, so that it is not difficult to achieve complete sealing of the static joint surface. However, due to the low equipment precision and craftsmanship level of some manufacturers, the storage and transportation conditions and management level cannot fully guarantee that there will be no bumps and scratches.


4. Poor operation skills during maintenance. At present, diesel generator sets are generally based on self-repair. Due to the lack of repair technology, there are often problems of one kind or another in self-repair. Oil leaks due to deformation of parts. At present, the general disassembly method is to use the main bearing seat cover mounting bolts, screw them into the diagonal disassembly screw holes on the main bearing seat cover, and push out the main bearing seat cover. It is difficult to synchronize the progress of the two bolts during the disassembly and assembly process, which is the main reason for the deformation of the main bearing housing cover.
