Electronic governors are very different from mechanical governors in structure and control principle. It transmits the change of speed and (or) load to the control unit in the form of electronic signal, compares it with the set voltage (current) signal, and then outputs an electronic signal to the actuator. Actuator action pulls the fuel supply rack to add oil or reduce oil, so as to achieve the purpose of quickly adjusting the engine speed. The electronic governor replaces the rotating flyweight and other structures in the mechanical governor with electrical signal control, without the use of mechanical mechanisms, the action is sensitive, the response speed is fast, and the accuracy of dynamic and static parameters is high; the electronic governor is not driven by a governor The mechanism is small in size, easy to install, and easy to realize automatic control.


Common electronic governors include single-pulse electronic governors and double-pulse electronic governors. The single-pulse electronic governor adjusts the fuel supply with the speed pulse signal. The double-pulse electronic governor superimposes two single-pulse signals of speed and load to adjust the fuel supply. The double-pulse electronic governor can start to adjust the fuel supply as soon as the load changes but before the speed has not changed.


The basic composition of the double-pulse electronic speed governor is mainly composed of an actuator, a speed sensor, a load sensor and a speed control unit. The magnetoelectric speed sensor is used to monitor the change of diesel engine speed and generate AC voltage output proportionally. The load sensor is used to detect the change of the diesel engine load and convert it into a DC voltage output proportionally. The speed control unit is the core of the electronic speed governor. It accepts the output voltage signal from the speed sensor and the load sensor, converts it into a DC voltage in proportion, and compares it with the speed setting voltage, and sends the difference after the comparison as a control signal. The actuator, according to the input control signal, electronically (hydraulically, pneumatically) pulls the oil quantity control mechanism of the diesel engine to refuel or reduce oil.


If the load of the diesel engine increases suddenly, the output voltage of the load sensor changes first, and then the output voltage of the speed sensor also changes accordingly (the values all drop). The above two reduced pulse signals are compared with the set speed voltage in the speed control unit (the negative signal value of the sensor is less than the positive signal value of the speed setting voltage), and a positive voltage signal is output, which is used in the actuator. The output shaft rotates in the refueling direction to increase the circulating oil supply of the diesel engine.


On the contrary, if the load of the diesel engine suddenly decreases, the output voltage of the load sensor will change first, and then the output voltage of the speed sensor will also change accordingly (the values all increase). The above two elevated pulse signals are compared with the set speed voltage in the speed control unit. At this time, the negative signal value of the sensor is greater than the positive signal value of the speed setting voltage, the speed control unit outputs a negative voltage signal, and the output shaft rotates in the direction of oil reduction in the actuator to reduce the circulating oil supply of the generator. quantity.
