Reasons for Stuck Fuel Injection Nozzles of Ricardo Generator Set

The diesel of the Ricardo generator set is not clean, and there are impurities in the high-pressure oil pipe of the Ricardo generator set, which makes the needle valve coupling of the Ricardo generator set not tightly closed. The high-pressure gas in the combustion chamber of the Ricardo generator set reverses and burns out the needle valve coupling. In addition, dirt on the pressure regulating spring, tappet, and other parts of the Ricardo generator set's fuel injector moves to the upper part of the fuel injector needle valve through the fuel injector tappet, or cotton ropes and lead wires used to prevent oil leakage on the oil circuit enter the fuel injector through the high-pressure oil pipe, which can cause the Ricardo generator set needle valve parts to get stuck.

The excessive temperature of the Ricardo generator set caused poor cooling of the nozzle, resulting in the valve coupling of the Ricardo generator set getting stuck. However, delayed fuel supply, excessive or clogged cooling water channels, worn end faces of water pump impellers, and long-term overload of the engine can cause overheating of the Ricardo generator set engine. The wear of the extraction valve caused oil dripping when the fuel injector of the Ricardo generator set stopped spraying, resulting in coking and carbon accumulation at the nozzle of the Ricardo generator set, resulting in a stuck fault.


The low pressure of the jet pressure caused the high-pressure gas in the combustion chamber of the Ricardo generator set to reverse flow. When installing the fuel injector of the Ricardo generator set, the missing or damaged gasket caused air leakage in the Ricardo generator set, causing the local temperature of the fuel injector of the Ricardo generator set to be too high and become stuck. There are reasons for the manufacturing of Ricardo generator set parts, such as the tight fit between the fuel injector installation hole on the cylinder head of the Ricardo generator set and the fuel injector, the small gap between the needle valve body and the installation hole on the cylinder head of the Ricardo generator set, and the deep machining of the fuel injector installation hole on the cylinder head of the Ricardo generator set.


First, put the stuck fuel injector into diesel or engine oil for heating, then take it out and wrap it in a cloth. Then, use pliers to clamp the needle valve and slowly move it, and take it out of the needle valve body. Drop a small amount of clean engine oil into the needle valve body, causing the Ricardo generator set needle valve to repeatedly move inside the needle valve body until the needle valve can move freely inside the needle valve body. If there are burn marks on the sealing surface of the needle valve of the Ricardo generator set, grinding paste should be used for grinding. Pay attention to the amount of grinding paste and grinding time during grinding. Install the cleaned bell valve coupling onto the fuel injector and adjust the injection pressure of the Ricardo generator set before reuse.
