Operation Procedures for High-Voltage Switchgear of Diesel Generators

High-voltage switchgear refers to electrical products used in power systems for power generation, transmission, distribution, energy conversion, and consumption, functioning to switch on/off, control, or protect circuits. Classified by voltage level (3.6kV-550kV), it includes high-voltage isolating switches and earthing switches, high-voltage load switches, high-voltage automatic reclosers and sectionalisers, high-voltage operating mechanisms, high-voltage explosion-proof distribution devices, and high-voltage switchgear cabinets. The high-voltage switchgear for diesel generator sets is also called the diesel generator distribution cabinet. Power-Off Operation Procedure for High-Voltage Switchgear:

1.Turn off the main load switch of the low-voltage distribution cabinet's incoming line cabinet.

2.Verify that the three indicator lights are illuminated.

3.Press the power-off switch until the switch operation sound is heard.

4.Use a high-voltage tester to check L1, L2, and L3 phases respectively; the indicator light should remain white without flickering.

5.Unlock the earthing switch lock.

6.Operate clockwise to close the earthing switch.

7.Confirm the earthing indicator shows the "earthed" status. Hang a "No Switching On" warning sign.

 

Power-On Operation Procedure for High-Voltage Switchgear:

1.Wear protective gear and use a high-voltage tester to confirm normal mains high-voltage supply.

2.Unlock the earthing switch lock and remove the "No Switching On" warning sign.

3.Operate counterclockwise to open the earthing switch.

4.Verify the earthing indicator shows the "disconnected" position.

5.Lock the earthing switch lock.

6.Unlock the main switch lock.

7.Operate counterclockwise to close the switch, then rotate clockwise to reset the energy storage mechanism.

8.Check that the three indicator lights are illuminated.

9.Lock the main switch lock.
