The function of the Cummins diesel generator fuel transfer pump is to ensure that the diesel oil circulates in the low-pressure oil circuit, and supply sufficient quantity and certain pressure of fuel to the fuel injection pump. After the fuel pump is used for a long time, the performance of the pump oil will decrease, which will affect the normal operation of the fuel injection pump of the diesel engine. Therefore, regular maintenance and inspection should be carried out, and the oil pump should be disassembled and inspected. The precautions are as follows:

Before dismantling, push the roller by hand for reciprocating motion, and check whether the movement of the roller (and the tappet, ejector rod pair) and the piston has the phenomenon of jam E and the stroke is too small. From the strength of the piston's rebound ability, it can be judged whether the piston spring is working or not. Normal; pull out the tappet and ejector rod; disassemble, repair and assemble the plunger type A fuel injection pump. Remove the hand pump parts and oil outlet pipe joints, take out the return valve spring and check valve of the oil inlet and outlet; unscrew the oil pump screw plug, take out the piston spring and piston; disassemble the hand oil pump parts; Pay attention to keep it clean during the assembly process; when assembling the piston, ejector rod and roller body, an appropriate amount of lubricating oil should be applied to the surface of the parts; the gasket that acts as a seal should be installed to ensure that the end surface is even.


Overhaul of oil pump parts: After the Cummins diesel generator oil pump is disassembled, check the wear of the inlet and outlet valves and valve seats: if they are broken or severely worn, they should be replaced; if the wear is slight, they can be repaired by grinding; If the casing is loose due to wear or the movement is not smooth, a new pump should be replaced.


If the plane of the one-way valve is worn, dented, pitted, etc., use the abrasive paste to grind it on the plate, and if it is serious, it should be replaced. The check valve seat surface on the housing is severely worn or uneven and should be replaced. If the ejector rod and ejector sleeve are seriously worn, resulting in large gaps, poor sealing performance, and excessive diesel leakage, they must be replaced together with the casing, or an oversized ejector rod must be selected, but they must undergo mutual research.


The coarse filter element in the oil inlet pipe joint is very easy to be blocked by cotton-like debris and affects the oil supply. Therefore, you should always pay attention to the cleaning of the fuel and remove the dirt on the filter element. When the rubber ring of the hand pump piston is damaged, it should be replaced in time. Oil leakage at the piston of the hand pump for the 12-cylinder V-type diesel engine indicates that the mating surface is worn, the gap is large, and it needs to be re-selected.
