Cummins generator is mainly composed of body components and crank linkage mechanism, air distribution mechanism and air intake and exhaust system, fuel supply system, lubrication system, cooling system, starting device and other mechanisms and systems.

Engine body: it is the frame of Cummins generator, which supports and installs other components, including cylinder block, cylinder liner, cylinder head, cylinder gasket, oil pan, flywheel housing, timing gear housing, front and rear feet.

Crank connecting rod mechanism: it is the main moving part of Cummins generator. The intake/exhaust system is composed of air filter, intake pipe, exhaust pipe and muffler. Fuel supply system: the function of Cummins generator fuel supply system is to inject a certain amount of diesel into the combustion chamber at a certain pressure within a certain time to mix with air, so that combustion can do work. It is mainly composed of diesel tank, fuel pump, diesel filter, fuel injection pump (high-pressure fuel pump), fuel injector, governor, etc.

Lubrication system: the function of the lubrication system is to send lubricating oil to the friction surfaces of moving parts of Cummins generator, which plays the role of friction reduction, cooling, purification, sealing and rust prevention, so as to reduce friction resistance and wear, and take away the heat generated by friction, thus ensuring the normal operation of Cummins generator. It is mainly composed of oil pump, oil filter, oil radiator, various valves and lubricating oil passages.

Cooling system: the function of the cooling system is to transfer the heat from the heated parts of Cummins generator, so as to keep the Cummins generator working at the most appropriate temperature, and to obtain good economy, power and durability. The cooling system is divided into water cooling and air cooling. Most Cummins generators use water cooling system, which uses water as the cooling medium.
