2. Controller

The controller is the "brain" of the entire electronic control system, consisting of hardware and software. The controller should be installed away from the high - temperature areas of the diesel engine and the ship. During use and maintenance, it is strictly prohibited to collide or drop it. The controller needs cooling during use, and the size of the inlet and outlet interfaces for the cooling fluid is M16X1.5.

When removing the connector, first unplug it. When installing the connector, keep it in the state when it was removed, insert the two connectors into the controller correspondingly, and then pull down the locking device until it reaches the locked position. If it is difficult to unplug or plug in during disassembly, do not force it. First, check whether the locking device is pulled into place and whether there is any foreign matter in the connector. Otherwise, the controller or the connector may be damaged.

3. Control wiring harness

The control wiring harness is the hub connecting the sensors, controllers, actuators, generator set control cabinet, and power supply. You can refer to the relevant wiring harness circuit diagram.

4. Troubleshooting of electronic control components

When the diesel engine is at the top dead center of the compression stroke of the first cylinder, the crankshaft sensor should indicate the 36th tooth after the missing tooth of the crankshaft signal disc or the position 210° (crankshaft rotation angle) after the first tooth. First, make sure that when the piston of the first cylinder of the diesel engine is at the top dead center of the compression stroke, the timing pointer is aligned with the "0" scale.

The timing marks of the gear train must correspond one by one, that is, the marks of the crankshaft timing gear and the idler gear, and the idler gear and the camshaft timing gear must correspond one by one, ensuring the precise correspondence between the camshaft phase and the crankshaft phase.

The crankshaft speed sensor is installed beside the damper signal disc. Facing the front end of the crankshaft, install the damper to the crankshaft through the pin for positioning. At this time, the scale line of the damper signal disc should be aligned with the center of the speed sensor.

When installing the speed sensor, the air gap between the sensor end face and the signal disc is required to be 3.0 - 3.5 mm. If it is less than this value, adjust it with a gasket.

According to the known rotation direction, when reaching the top dead center of the compression stroke of the first cylinder, the camshaft phase sensor should indicate the position 36° (cam rotation angle) after the tooth of the camshaft signal disc, and the crankshaft position sensor should indicate the 36th tooth after the missing tooth of the crankshaft signal disc.
