The control panel of diesel generator set is divided into ordinary generator set control panel and automatic generator set control panel. The ordinary control panel is suitable for controlling ordinary diesel generator sets, and the starting and stopping, power supply and power-off, status adjustment, etc. of the generator set are all manually operated; The control panel of the automated generator set is suitable for controlling the automated diesel generator set. The starting and stopping, power supply and power-off, and status adjustment of the generator set can be completed manually or automatically.

The primary purpose of the diesel generator control panel is to distribute the electrical energy output by the diesel generator to user loads or electrical equipment, and also to indicate the operating status of the diesel generator and to maintain the voltage of the generator unchanged during load changes.

 

The main switch of the diesel generator control panel refers to the automatic air switch of the primary circuit. What are the reasons and solutions for the main switch not closing?

 

Manual operation, main switch cannot be closed

 

1. The undervoltage release coil has no voltage, or the coil joint has poor contact or is broken or burned. The power should be connected, and the coil should be repaired or replaced.

 

2. The gap between the undervoltage release armature and the iron core is too large, and it does not engage when powered on. Adjust the gap to ≤ 1mm.

 

3. The operating mechanism is not in place, the axes in the mechanism are not flexible, or there are burrs on the top of the lever. The coaxiality between the bottom and panel should be adjusted, and lubricating oil should be added. Grind the top of the lever, remove burrs, and add lubricating oil.

 

4. The undervoltage release rod adjustment is too high, causing the screw on the half shaft to move upward. The armature of the shunt release is stuck and does not reset, or the push rod on the release shaft is adjusted too high. At this point, readjust the engagement between the lever and the half shaft to be ≥ 1.2mm.

 

Electric operation, main switch cannot be closed

 

1. Press the closing button, the relay does not operate

 

Generally, it is due to poor button contact, broken relay coil, normally closed to normally open relay auxiliary contacts, or broken diodes or capacitors. Corresponding handling method: repair or replace the button; Connect the broken wire or replace the coil; Correct the relay contact wiring; Replace damaged diodes and capacitors.

 

2. Relay action, main switch cannot be closed

 

The bridge rectifier diode is burnt out and the electromagnetic coil is broken. The diode should be replaced, the broken connection should be made, or the coil should be replaced.

 

3. Press the button, the relay will close, but the main switch hoe cannot be closed

 

The travel of the electromagnetic rod is insufficient or the bolt of the electromagnetic rod is loose. Adjust the gap between the moving iron core of the electromagnet and the bracket to ≤ 0.5mm, and tighten the bolts.
