The generator connecting rod assembly may malfunction during use. 1. Inspection of bending degree
The inspection of the bending degree of the generator connecting rod is carried out on the connecting rod corrector. According to the aperture of the connecting rod bearing, select a suitable pair of expansion blocks and install them into the spindle. Install the bearing cover of the connecting rod big end, without installing the bearing (connecting rod bearing), tighten it according to the specified torque, and install the already equipped piston pin. Then, insert the generator connecting rod big end onto the spindle of the corrector, rotate the adjustment nut, and use the action of the inclined convex shaft on the spindle to gradually expand the expansion block outward, Match the large end hole of the connecting rod to the appropriate tightness, and fix the generator connecting rod in the appropriate position. If the slot block seat is not in the right position, adjust it to make the piston pin tightly adhere to the upper (or lower) plane of the slot block seat.
Check the gap on both sides. If the gap on both sides is different, it indicates that the generator connecting rod is bent. The larger the difference between the gaps on both sides, the more severe the bending of the connecting rod. When the error between the gaps on both sides exceeds 0.05-0.1mm, correction should be made. Based on the inspection results, determine the direction and degree of bending of the generator connecting rod, and then make corrections.
2. Correction of curvature
The correction of the bending degree of the connecting rod is generally carried out using the auxiliary tools on the generator connecting rod corrector. According to the direction of the connecting rod bending, the special tool for correction is clamped on a vise to press the connecting rod. Attention: check while pressing until the connecting rod is corrected.
Due to the presence of residual stress after the generator connecting rod is bent or twisted, although it was pressed at the time, there is a possibility of repeated deformation. To solve this problem, the connecting rod can be heated to 150-200 ℃ in engine oil after calibration to eliminate or reduce residual stress caused by bending and twisting of the generator connecting rod. When the bending and twisting degree of the connecting rod is small, this work can be omitted after correction. In the absence of a connecting rod corrector, other simple tools such as pliers can also be used for calibration.
