1. Relevant requirements for air cooling unit are as follows:

① The engine must be air-cooled by a matching radiator.

② Radiators shall be sub assembled on specially designed and approved supports.

③ The radiator must be equipped with flange joint of ventilation pipe to enable the ventilation pipe to be attached to the radiator. A section of air duct with flexible connector shall be installed between radiator and metal shutter. The pipes shall be made of galvanized sheet steel. All pipes must have sealed joints.

④ The fan must have sufficient capacity and take into account the additional resistance of air flow through the duct and louver.

2. Relevant requirements for water cooling unit are as follows:

① The engine must be water-cooled by a matching radiator, including a liquid cooled exhaust pipe with a drive fan, coolant pump, thermostat control, an intercooler, and a corrosion resistant coolant filter suitable for local conditions.

② Radiators shall be sub assembled on specially designed and approved supports.

③ The radiator shall be equipped with flange joint of ventilation pipe to enable the ventilation pipe to attach to the radiator. A section of air duct with flexible connector shall be installed between radiator and metal shutter. The pipes shall be made of galvanized sheet steel. All pipes must have sealed joints.

④ The fan must have sufficient capacity and take into account the additional resistance of air flow through the duct and louver.

⑤ The cooling system must be added with anti-corrosion agent.

⑥ The cooling system must be equipped with a coolant heater to keep the temperature of the coolant at about 25 ℃ to ensure that it can be easily started when necessary. Antifreeze must also be added to the cooling system.

3. Air inlet and exhaust system. The air intake system is natural intake or intake through the turbocharger. The exhaust system is equipped with smoke exhaust elbow, corrugated expansion smoke exhaust pipe and industrial muffler.

① The smoke exhaust system consists of muffler, expansion corrugated pipe, suspender, pipe, pipe clamp, connecting flange, heat resistant joint and other components.

② The connection flange with heat resistant joint ruler must be used for the connection in the smoke exhaust system.

③ The carbon steel or stainless steel expansion joint must be connected behind the muffler, and the corrugated pipe will discharge the flue gas vertically upward to the specified position. The smoke exhaust pipe must be made of black steel pipe, carbon pipe or stainless steel pipe conforming to the national standard, or stainless steel welded smoke pipe conforming to the national specifications and produced by professional manufacturers.

④ The elbow of the smoke exhaust pipe shall have a minimum bending radius equal to 3 times of the pipe diameter to meet the back pressure requirements of the diesel generator set.

⑤ The entire system from the exhaust port to the end of the exhaust pipe, except for the stainless steel expansion bellows, must be coated with heat resistant paint.

⑥ The whole smoke exhaust system must be wrapped in galvanized metal mesh with a non combustible insulating material insulation layer conforming to the national standard. The aperture of the metal mesh and the thickness of the insulation layer must also meet the national standard. The external temperature of the smoke exhaust pipe after adding the insulation layer should not exceed 70 ℃.

⑦ The surface of all smoke exhaust pipes and mufflers must be coated with aluminum metal or stainless steel cladding with a thickness of not less than 0.8mm.

⑧ The entire system must be suspended by spring hangers. The design of suspension boom shall be approved.

⑨ The maximum allowable smoke color of the exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust outlet shall not be higher than Ringelmann Shade No.1, and the emission concentration of smoke and dust shall not be higher than 80mg/m3, and shall comply with the regulations of the local environmental protection department.

⑩ Sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and other pollutants emitted by diesel generators shall meet the requirements of GB20426-2006 Emission Standard of Pollutants for Coal Industry.
