The working principle of the diesel engine high pressure oil pump is to adjust the effective pressure distance of the plunger through the axial angle rotation of the plunger, so as to control the oil pressure and quantity of the oil pump. The engine crankshaft rotates to drive the cam on the camshaft to rotate through gears, and the cam makes a periodic pushing and releasing movement on the pulley of the oil pump push rod, causing the plunger to reciprocate in the plunger sleeve. With the cooperation of the inlet and outlet oil valves of the pump, oil suction and pressure oil are completed, generating an instantaneous high pressure of more than 10MPa. The diesel oil is then atomized and sprayed into the engine combustion chamber with nearly 60 atmospheres through the fuel injection pipeline and injector to produce combustion and explosion work, generating rotational power through mechanisms such as cylinders, piston connecting rods, and crankshafts.
The main components of the diesel engine high pressure pump include fuel pump, check valve, bypass valve, filter, pressure limiting valve, etc. Their main functions are as follows:
(1)Pressure limiting valve 1: Opens when the pressure in the oil supply pipe exceeds 0.75MPa.
(2)Pressure limiting valve 2: Maintains the pressure in the return pipe at 0.10MPa.
(3)Bypass valve: If there is air in the fuel, it is discharged through here.
(4)Check valve: Prevents fuel backflow when the engine is not working.
(5)Throttle hole and filter: Collect and separate bubbles in the oil supply pipe.
(6)Fuel pump: The fuel pump is an intermittent vane pump, which has the advantage of being able to supply oil even at low engine speeds. The oil passage in the pump body keeps the oil pump rotor always soak in fuel, so that fuel can be delivered at any time.
