1. When the diesel generator set is found to have water ingress, it should be shut down immediately if the generator set is in operation, and should not be started when it is in shutdown state.

2. Then lift one side of the diesel generator set with a hard object to make the oil drain part of the generator oil pan at the lowest position. Unscrew the oil drain plug and pull out the oil dipstick to make the water in the oil pan flow out by itself. When the oil flows to the point where the oil is to be drained, the oil and water should be drained slightly together, and then the oil drain plug should be screwed on.

3. Remove the air filter, replace it with a new filter element and soak it with oil.

4. Next, remove the lower intake and exhaust pipe and muffler to drain the water in the pipe. Open the pressure reduction, rotate the diesel engine to generate electricity, and observe whether there is water discharged from the inlet and exhaust ports. If water is drained, continue to rotate the crankshaft until all water in the cylinder is drained. Install the front pipe, exhaust pipe and muffler, add a small amount of engine oil at the air inlet, rotate the crankshaft for several cycles, and then install the air filter.

5. Remove the oil tank, drain all the oil and water in it, and check whether there is water in the fuel system and drain it.

6. Discharge the sewage in the water tank and watercourse, clean the watercourse, and take part in cleaning the river water or boiled well water until the water float rises. Open the throttle switch and start the diesel engine. After the diesel engine is started, pay attention to the lifting of the oil indicator and listen to the diesel engine for abnormal noise. After checking whether all parts are normal, run in the diesel engine. The running in sequence is first at idle speed, then at medium speed, and then at high speed. The operation time is 5 minutes each. After running in, stop the machine to drain the engine oil, participate in the new engine oil from the beginning, start the diesel engine, and operate at medium speed for 5 minutes before normal operation.

7. Dismantle the generator, check the stator and rotor inside the generator, and then dry them before assembly.
