Working Principle of Diesel Generator Set Delivery Valve

The delivery valve and valve seat of a diesel generator set are precision components, manufactured from high-quality alloy steel. Their guide holes, upper/lower end faces, and seat holes undergo ultra-precision machining and lapping, and they cannot be interchanged after pairing.

The conical part of the delivery valve serves as the axial sealing cone surface, while the valve cone slides within the guide hole for positioning. The tail is grooved to form a cross-shaped cross-section, allowing fuel to pass through. The cylindrical surface in the middle of the delivery valve is called the pressure relief band, which forms a pressure relief volume with the sealing surface (Guangxi Dingbo Power).

The lower end face of the valve seat and the upper end face of the plunger sleeve are precision-machined to fit tightly. They are compressed by a compression nut with a specified tightening torque. A copper high-pressure sealing washer of a certain thickness is placed between the compression nut and the valve seat, and a low-pressure sealing washer is installed between the delivery valve compression nut and the upper end face of the housing.

A grooved volume reducer is installed in the inner cavity of the delivery valve compression nut to reduce the internal cavity volume, promote rapid injection termination, and limit the maximum lift of the delivery valve.
