During the repair process, if the resistance of the multimeter or insulation resistance meter is found to be zero or the bulb is lit, it indicates that there is a grounding fault in the phase, some motors have serious grounding short circuits, and there are traces of high current burning at the grounding point. You can tell at a glance. Otherwise, the grouping elimination method should be used to identify the grounding fault point, that is, the midpoint of the winding with the grounding fault should be disassembled first, and then after determining which half phase winding of the phase is located, the half phase winding with the grounding fault should be disassembled from the middle. Use the above method to check and identify the grounding fault point. The repair of grounding faults should be determined based on different situations. If the insulation of the winding deteriorates, it must be replaced. If the winding end or wire is grounded, local insulation can be wrapped again.

If the grounding point is near the slot, the winding can be heated and softened, and the slot insulation can be pried open with a marking board, and appropriate sized insulation materials can be inserted; If the coil is grounded in the slot, the entire winding needs to be replaced. If the lower side is grounded, and it is found that the upper coil on the lower side has been turned out of the slot when the grounding point is checked, the repair method for grounding the upper coil can be referred to for repair; Introduce low-voltage current into the coil for heating, soften the insulation, move the grounding point to form a gap between the conductor and the iron core, clean the grounding point and pad it into the insulation, and use a test lamp or megohmmeter to check if the fault has been eliminated.

If the grounding fault has been eliminated, the lower coil will be sorted according to the coil arrangement order, and interlayer insulation will be laid before embedding the upper coil. Drip insulation paint and then heat it dry with low voltage current. Fold the insulation of the slot in half, insert insulation paper, and then drive it into the slot wedge. Grounding inside the slot is sometimes caused by one or several silicon steel sheets protruding from the iron core slot to cut off the insulation of the winding. At this point, the protruding silicon steel sheet can be cut or knocked off with a file, and then an insulation board (such as epoxy phenolic glass cloth board, etc.) can be placed, and the insulation layer can be wrapped again where the wire cuts off the insulation layer.
