Filtering Method of Air Filter for Silent Diesel Generator Set

The function of the air filter of the silent diesel generator set is to remove the dust and impurities in the air and draw clean air into the cylinder, so as to reduce the wear of the piston connecting rod set, valve mechanism and cylinder. The basic requirements for selecting air filters are high filtration efficiency, low resistance, long service life and convenient maintenance. They use the characteristics of high-density dust and impurities in air components to guide the airflow to rotate or make sharp turns, so as to separate dust and impurities from the air of silent diesel generator sets.

In order to obtain better filtering effect for the silent diesel generator set, two or three comprehensive filtering methods can be used. The air filter of the silent diesel generator set is composed of a filter housing and a filter element, and the filter housing of the silent diesel generator set is made of sheet steel by stamping. Paper filter element is currently the most widely used type of filter element. The filter element is generally made of resin treated microporous filter paper, and the upper and lower ends of the filter element are sealed with plastic sealing pads. When the diesel engine is working, the air is filtered through a paper filter, and is sucked into the cylinder along the air inlet pipe from the nozzle of the silent diesel generator set. The utility model has simple structure, low cost, and convenient maintenance, but has short service life in a dusty environment.

Under the centrifugal force of the vortex tube of the silent diesel generator set, most of the dust particles in the air fall into the dust collection chamber at the lower end of the vortex tube, and then are discharged with the diesel engine exhaust through the exhaust injection pipe of the silent diesel generator set. The coarse filtered clean air is filtered by the paper filter and the safety filter, and finally enters the cylinder of the silent diesel generator set. When using a swirl paper air filter, the muffler outlet sign needs to be equipped with an exhaust injection pipe. When the silent diesel generator set exhausts, the Jet stream increases the exhaust gas flow through the throat, thus forming a vacuum. In this vacuum state, the dust particles in the dust collection chamber of the air filter of the mute diesel generator set are sucked into the exhaust injection pipe through the rubber pipe and discharged continuously with the exhaust gas of the mute diesel generator set.
