1. Main Components of Diesel Generator Valve Mechanism

The valve mechanism can be divided into the valve group and the valve transmission group, which is classified according to functions. 2. What is the Diesel Generator Valve Tappet?

The function of the tappet is to transmit the thrust of the cam to the valve or push rod. The tappet is made of steel or cast iron. Generally, it is made into a hollow cylindrical shape, which not only reduces the weight but also obtains a larger pressure area to reduce the side pressure per unit area. The lower end of the push rod is located in the tappet hole.

In order to make the working surface of the tappet wear evenly, the center line of the tappet is usually offset 1-3mm from the symmetry line of the cam side. The base of the tappet is made into a sphere with a radius of 700-1000mm. When the cam rotates, the tappet is forced to rotate around its axis, so that the wear of the bottom and side of the tappet is relatively uniform.
