A good engine room can improve the operating power of diesel generators, so how to cool down the engine room of diesel generators? 1. When the water source is sufficient and the water temperature is low, the cooling of the power station should be water-cooled, that is, water is used as the refrigerant to cool the air in the diesel generator room. The conditions for planning a water-cooled power station are that there must be sufficient natural water sources; such as well water, spring water, river water, lake water, etc., or other water sources that can be used; the water quality should be good, non-toxic, odorless, free of disease-causing bacteria, and non-corrosive to metals; The content of inorganic and organic substances such as sediment should meet the standard requirements; the water cooling should be low, the difference between the temperature of the diesel generator engine room and the temperature of the water cooling water should be greater than 15 degrees Celsius, and the minimum should not be less than 10 degrees Celsius. If the water temperature is high, the temperature difference between the supply and return air is small, and the air supply system is large, which will inevitably increase the cost of construction and operation. Compared with other cooling methods, the advantage of the water-cooled power station is that the air intake and exhaust air volume are small, so the air intake and exhaust ducts are small; the water-cooled power station is less affected by the external atmospheric temperature of the project, and the air in the machine room can be guaranteed at any season. Cool down. The disadvantage is that the water consumption is large, and it is restricted by the water source conditions. When the project has no low-temperature water source, this cooling method cannot be used.


2. When the water source is difficult or the temperature of the air entering from the outside of the diesel generator room in summer can meet the cooling requirements of the diesel generator room, air cooling or a combination of air cooling and evaporative cooling should be used. The air-cooled power station uses the low-temperature air outside the computer room (generally, it should be lower than the design requirements of the computer room by about 5 degrees Celsius) to increase the air intake, and uses the air intake and exhaust to remove the waste heat in the computer room. The air-cooled power station does not require a large amount of low-temperature water source, and has no cooling air supply system. The ventilation system in the computer room is simple, the operation is convenient, the air intake and exhaust air volume are large, the number of air changes per hour in the computer room is large, and the air is fresh and comfortable. However, the fan capacity of the intake duct and the exhaust duct is larger. The transpiration cooling power station only needs a small amount of water, calculated according to the power of the diesel engine, generally not exceeding 1.5 × 1.36kg/h per kilowatt, and there is no strict requirement for the water temperature, which can reduce the air intake by more than half compared with the air cooling power station, especially suitable for difficult water sources and water temperature. higher areas. With the continuous deepening of research and experimental work on evaporative cooling, evaporative cooling equipment is constantly being improved.


3. When there is no water source and the inlet air temperature cannot meet the requirements of the air-cooled power station, artificial refrigeration can be planned and selected, and the cooling fan with its own cold source can eliminate the waste heat of the diesel generator room. The construction investment and operation cost of the artificial refrigeration system are high. In winter or excessive seasons, the power station should make full use of the cold air outside the project for ventilation and cooling. Therefore, air cooling should generally be the primary method to eliminate the waste heat of the power station. Diesel power plants use automatic units. After the compartment is completed, the on-duty personnel can generally not enter the engine room, and the maximum allowable temperature of the engine room cooling plan can be designed at 40 degrees Celsius.
