The foundation base should support the weight of the entire set and the dynamic impact load generated by the unbalanced force during the set's operation. It should have sufficient stiffness and stability to prevent deformation that may affect the co - axiality of the diesel engine, the main alternator, and their accessories. It should absorb the vibration generated during the set's operation and minimize the transmission of vibration to the foundation and walls.
The best foundation is to build a concrete floor to enhance the firmness of the generator during installation. When building the foundation, it is necessary to provide a rigid support for the generator set to prevent it from moving and vibrating. The standard concrete block should be 150mm - 200mm thick, and its area should not be smaller than that of the generator set chassis.
