Maintenance Guidelines for Deutz Generator Sets

The fuel filter of the Deutz generator set should be cleaned once every 100 hours of operation, and the fuel tank should be cleaned once every 500 hours of operation. If the filter element is found to be damaged or ineffective, it should be replaced in a timely manner. Do not remove it and use direct - flow fuel supply.

The paired parts should be disassembled and inspected once every 500 hours under normal working conditions. When disassembling and inspecting, ensure that the working area, hands, tools, and cleaning oil are clean to prevent the paired parts from being contaminated. Do not knock or strike randomly during disassembly. Do not pile them up randomly during cleaning, and do not wash them in the same container with non - paired parts to avoid bruising or scratching. Do not change the assembly position at will during assembly to achieve some goals that do not meet the working requirements of the machine. When installing the delivery valve holder and the nozzle cap, tighten them according to the specified torque to ensure the good technical condition of the injector and fuel injection pump after assembly.

(1)Cleaning the diesel engine with steam

Steam cleaning is the most effective method for cleaning dirty diesel engines or equipment. If steam is not available, use the specified solvent to clean the diesel engine. Do not subject the engine to the full force of the flushing nozzle, and protect all electrical components and wires.

(2)Inspecting the diesel engine suspension device

Occasionally, the mounting bolts of the diesel engine may loosen, causing rapid wear of the diesel engine suspension device and the bracket. Therefore, tighten all bolts and nuts when necessary, replace the damaged ones, and supplement the missing ones.

(3) Inspecting the installation of the fan and pulley

Check whether the fan is firmly installed, and tighten the fixing screws if necessary. Check whether the fan is shaking or the blades are bent. Check whether the fan hub and the crankshaft pulley of the 50 - kilowatt mobile generator set are firmly installed. Check whether the fan hub pulley is loose or shaking. If necessary, remove the fan guide hub to tighten the nut on the shaft. Tighten the fan bracket screws.

(3)Checking the crankshaft end play

There are regulations for the crankshaft end play of new or overhauled diesel engines. If the end play of a worn - out diesel engine exceeds the wear limit specified in the table, it must not be used. If the diesel engine is disassembled for repair, install a new thrust ring. Note: Do not pry against the outer ring of the vibration damper.

The way to check the end play is to press the dial indicator pointer against the end face of the torsional vibration damper or the pulley, and then pry against the inside of the vibration damper or the pulley and the front cover. When the diesel engine is installed on the generator set and assembled with the transmission or torque converter, there must be an end play.

(5) Checking the zinc plug of the heat exchanger

Check the zinc plug of the heat exchanger, and replace it if it is severely corroded. The frequency of replacement depends on the chemical reaction of the raw water circulating in the heat exchanger of the 50 - kilowatt mobile generator set.
