When a malfunction has occurred and the diagnostic system has generated one or more fault codes, these are read out differently depending on the equipment used. Please refer to “Fault code messages”.
There are other possibilities than the VP status/pedal position message in order to control the engine speed. Torque speed control - TSC1 (0C 00 00 03/11/E6) The TSC1 message has priority over the pedal position that is sent with the VP status message.
The battery plus and minus in the EIC is connected to the battery via the starter motor. I.e. these pins in the EIC are outputs that are intended to power other CAN nodes connected to the engine CAN network. Failure to do this can cause EECU damages.
