Methods to Identify an All-Copper Generator:

The most direct method is to disassemble the generator and check the stator windings. After disassembling, scrape off the insulating paint on the surface of the enameled wire at several points with a sharp blade and observe the color of the metal: purple-red indicates copper wire, and silvery white indicates aluminum wire. After inspection, it is better to cover it with insulating paint again to enhance insulation.

Another method is to use a bridge to measure the DC resistance of the stator windings. The resistivity of copper is lower than that of aluminum. For generators of the same power, the resistance of copper windings is lower than that of aluminum windings. Of course, this method requires strong professional knowledge and theoretical data support.
